Boon yells THANKS to Radio and Fans!
The enormous response to BOON's singles the past three months has been very fulfilling to both Artist and us, his agent, Wicked Rock. We feel that the good news is just beginning. It's well deserved as BOON has been on a musical journey his entire adult life. As the singer of Movie55, he achieved 18 playlistings. Now, as a soloist accompanied by some of South Africa's finest sessionists, he rides strongly onto radio stations, majors and campuses alike, with several giving the ballad, 'Why Do We Cry?', and the rocker, 'Pretend', high rotation. The 4, latest recordings were produced by 12 months of sweat and at major cost to the artist.
Boon: "I would really like to thank the radio stations in Africa that are playing my latest music. It has been a challenging road getting my music to international standard. Gaining recognition from the majors in South Africa, in addition to constant support from great campus stations, is a great motivator. It's always good to know that one is doing something right. Music industry people in California have also given great feedback. Hopefully i can gain some State play soon. I perform on a regular basis, three to four times per week, and the support of venue regulars always gives me a big smile. One of my favourite quotes is, “If you can see your dream clearly in your mind, you can hold it in your hand." That's becoming reality. Thank You!"
