BOON is taking the world by storm with his new band 2ndLIFE
THE 15 THINGS THAT MAD METALLICA FAMOUS
1. They started out by performing cover songs at their pub shows. The Audience thought that it was their original material.
2. Their first cd release, was a compilation with other artists, where they stood together with other metal bands and helped each other.
3. They started a new unique style on the market called Trash Metal.
4. They blended their favourite bands and added their original X-factor to their song compositions.
5. A power ballad is a must on an Album. Songs like “One” “Nothing Else Matters” and “Unforgiven” did the magic for Metallica.
6. They dressed different to the norm, and started their own style.
7. They took ten of their strongest riffs from each band members, and composed 1 song, instead of using those riffs in 10 different songs.
8. They started out by getting a writer to get them serious media exposure. Radio stations weren’t interested in giving them radio airplay.
9. An important person finally decided to listen to one of their tapes, with no expectations and got a shock when he pressed play.

11. They had to concentrate on putting the band on the map with concerts, and selling albums.Tv and radio didn’t promote metal those days .
12. It took them 3 years to get their first break through: They started the band in 1981 and got their 1st deal in 1984, when their 2 managers got them their first recording deal with “Elektra” they sold 75000 copies of their tape 'ride the lightning so far'
13. The two master minds in business were Lars-(Drummer )and James-(vocalist)
14. They had two independent managers before their first recording deal (1984) that put very little money into the band, but did everything they could to promote Metallica.
15. They basically became famous via: Word of Mouth, doing lots of concerts (sometimes 48 shows in 68 days) and getting their music into the right hands. Ozzy and Sharon also helped them by adding them to the line-up on the Ozzy concerts.
